Curtis Greene #99

Always there for his team mates through constant chatter, mentoring and creative banter. Instrumental behind the scenes on the committee, he upheld club culture during the clubs transitional years. On the field, Curtis is an exceptional outfielder who found himself on more than one occasion pitching his team through grand finals. Curtis left to pursue his career in defence.

Shiori Hoshino #66

Amongst the Townsville league, there was a common thought that went through batters minds. Don't hit it to Shiori. Affectionately known as Boss, Shiori is an incredible shortstop, pitcher and all round team player. You would often find Boss down at the field taking extra reps, mowing fields, marking lines or coaching teams. Boss left Townsville Taipans to pursue her baseball career in Melbourne.

Retired number - #24

The playing number of our founding president from 2015-2019 was officially retired in 2021. Troy Tucker was instrumental in laying the foundations of our club under it's original name, Townsville Avengers. To this day, Tucker remains active in behind the scenes governance and umpiring.  The Baseball Association of Townsville batting award is named after Tucker and his incredible slug average, ever wishful that he may return.
