Little league wrap up - Round 3

Updated: May 30, 2024

Taipans are off to another great start!

After having a week’s break due to Labor Day long weekend, we had another great win against Jets. Luck or Talent?

Today’s game was the best all season with many great hits, but Jack, Daniel and Nate’s

hits were truly the best. After last game getting the first home run all season by Lachie,

these champions were able to hit one too.

Jack almost hit a homerun although it went outside the cones meaning he could only get two bases, Daniel getting himself home, and Nate got Sarah and himself home.

Daniel started as pitcher to Lachie catching. Archer pitched second and Daniel went to 3rd. Nate started at 3rd then went catcher. The others pretty much stayed the same. With Sarah on 1st, Connor on 2nd, Jack on shortstop, Chase on left, Noah on right, and Archer on centre.

The runners were fast, and they mainly got the outs from the strikes fortunately - Archer

and Daniel were very consistent.

Can Taipans keep up these wins for the whole season or will Jets eventually beat them?

This game, Connor had the opportunity to be the first one to wear the new cone-head-

bone-head award. He had originally won it the game before, but as they didn’t have the

award then, Connor thought he could escape from having to wear it. The new cone-

head-bone-head award is wearing a red (for Taipans) tutu, with a red curly long hair wig

and an optional tie to the game before it starts.

Daniel got the best player award for his amazing hit – a homerun - and his fabulous

pitching.

The final score ended up being 12 – 10 to Taipans.
